The South Fayette Wetland and Trail was made possible by The Rubinoff Company, Dominion Resources, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, the South Fayette Conservation Group and the South Fayette School District.

The Rubinoff Company was in need of a wetland mitigation site for their Clair Boyce Project, so the South Fayette Conservation Group presented the South Fayette School District with a unique opportunity to bring an outdoor classroom and community asset to the district in the form of wetland trails behind South Fayette High School.

The Rubinoff Company paid for a contractor to create and perform water quality testing on ponds behind South Fayette High School.

SFCG volunteers planted around the ponds, built foot bridges and seeded the trails.

Signage for the trails was made possible through a Dominion/Western PA Conservancy Watershed Mini Grant.
