Great PA Cleanup Day

Pennsylvanians across the state – and Americans across the nation – join together each May for the Great American Cleanup.

Great American Cleanup of PA volunteers donate their time to clean up litter and trash along our roadsides, streams, beaches, parks, forests and neighborhoods.

SFCG volunteers put forth invaluable effort for the environment of South Fayette.

SFCG member Cindy and SF Twp Commissioner Sue help clean our roadways. Volunteer, Don, did a great job cleaning up those steep hillsides.
Emil from the township made sure that cars slowed down for us and provided chilled water. Our thanks go out to SFCG members Keri and Maureen.

Sadly, much of the trash picked up on Clean Up Day could have been recycled and not sent to a landfill.

Litter adds to the problem at the Presto Sygan AMD discharge site and also impacts our local wetlands.

Working together to keep South Fayette clean on PA cleanup day helps all of the living things that share our environment.
